Drunken Duo Creates Ruckus in Hyderabad; Public Objects to Drinking on Road

Hyderabad, India– A video of a ruckus at Nagole, involving a man and a woman drinking alcohol in public on the LB Nagar-Nagole main road in Hyderabad, has sparked public outrage and is trending on social media.

The duo, reportedly in an inebriated state, were seen consuming alcohol on the road, leading to an argument with morning walkers, including senior citizens, who objected to their behavior. The situation escalated when the young woman attempted to snatch the phone of the person recording this incident.

Despite the objections, the duo engaged in a verbal duel with the locals, asking them to mind their own business. Eventually, the locals forced the two to sit in their car and leave the area.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, with some users tagging @RachakondaCop on X. As of now, no case has been registered, but the police are conducting an enquiry into the matter.

Public drinking is generally not allowed in India, if someone caught, they could face punishment which can include a fine of up to Rs. 5,000 for the first offence, and for subsequent offences, the fine may go up to Rs. 10,000. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting public spaces and adhering to laws regarding public behavior.
