OnePlus is set to launch its 2nd smartwatch- OnePlus Watch 2, with leaked renders revealing key specs, suggests significant improvements and notable redesign from its predecessor.

Leaks reveal that it has a slightly larger 1.43-inch AMOLED display compared to its predecessor 1.39-inch screen, enhances visual experience for users.

The OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, the same chipset found in the Huawei Watch 4 Pro, users to get robust performance and efficient functionality.

The OnePlus Watch 2 is rumored to adopt Google’s Wear OS 4, unlike the first model that had its own OS. 

This software upgrade could make the watch more versatile, as it can run more apps and features.

OS Upgrade: Wear OS 4

OnePlus Watch 2 to address past criticisms over by switching to Wear OS 4 to improve its functionality. This will fix the problems with step-tracking and make the watch more user-friendly.

Unofficial renders indicates the watch face has a small bump on the right side, speculated to house a capacitive sensor.

The watch looks like the Galaxy Watch series, with similar band connectors. The Watch 2 looks as thick as Samsung’s watches, which means it might have copied some of their design ideas.

The exact launch date for the OnePlus Watch 2 remains unknown. However, leaked specs for the upcoming smartwatch suggest it has a very competitive edge in the smartwatch market.
