Nio, a Chinese electric vehicle maker, is reportedly working on a flagship smartphone that will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The Nio phone recently appeared on AnTuTu, a popular benchmarking platform, and scored over 1,360,947 points.
Earlier, OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, ranked first in Antutu with 1,733,703 points.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor supports up to 200MP cameras, 8K video recording, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
The Nio phone is expected to have 12GB RAM, 1TB internal storage, and 100W fast charging as well as an Android 13 operating system.
The phone is also rumoured to have some features that are related to Nio’s electric vehicles, such as unlocking the car with the phone, controlling the car remotely, and Nio’s services.
The Nio phone is set to launch in the second half of 2023 and will compete top-tier smartphones like OnePlus, Xiaomi, and iQOO.
The price and availability of the Nio phone are not yet known, but it is likely to be a high-end device that will appeal to all tech enthusiasts.
