Samsung is rumored to be working on a more affordable foldable phone, is reportedly its first budget-friendly Galaxy foldable smartphone, to offer it in price range of $400-$500.
Renowned tipster @Tech_Reve suggests that its an aggressive Pricing Strategy by Samsung to position in intensify competition in the foldable smartphone market.
The expected pricing of the Samsung’s new foldable, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 starts at $1,799.99, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is priced at $999.99.
The budget-friendly foldable was expected to adopt a clamshell form factor, making it distinct from its more expensive counterparts and achieving a price point for a foldable phone.
Currently, foldable phones, such as the OnePlus Open and Google Pixel Fold, cost around $1,699; and Samsung’s ambitious pricing goal (~$400) challenge the existing market norms for foldable devices.
As of today, the cheapest foldable phone, Oppo Find N2 Flip, is priced at £849 in the UK, which is substantially higher than Samsung’s target price range.
