Elon Musk's AI startup, xAI, is set to debut its first AI model named "Gork" on November 4 to a select group of people.
xAI was founded by a team of former engineers from Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI. Gork has real-time access to information through X (formerly Twitter).
Musk shared a chat with Gork on X, which showed the AI model’s sense of humor and sarcasm in its responses.
Musk’s vision for xAI is to create an AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) that seeks to understand the universe, in contrast to the tech from other companies like Microsoft and Google.
Currently, Gork is only available to a limited number of people, but there may be a chance for X Premium+ users to gain access.
Musk considers xAI’s new model to be among the best available. He appreciates Gork’s wit and sarcasm, referring to it as “based.
Musk has expressed a desire for an AI model that focuses on providing “truth,” although this definition of truth may be subjective.
It is speculated that xAI’s Gork will have an upper hand over existing AI models like Google Bard or ChatGPT for its human touch and sarcasm responses.
