Vivo Y78 Plus 5G with 120Hz OLED curved-edge display, Snapdragon 695 chipset, OIS 50MP camera launched in China

Vivo silently launched a new 5G phone, Vivo Y78+ 5G, in China with a curved-edge display- it’s the first-ever Y-series Vivo phone to come with curved display. It also features powerful 5G Snapdragon 695 chipset, 50MP dual rear camera with OIS support. Lets look into its full specifications, features and price.

Vivo Y78 Plus 5G specifications and features

The Vivo Y78+ 5G boasts a 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED display with 1080 x 2400 resolution, 16.7 million screen color and 1,00 nits of brightness. Vivo Y78+ is powered by a Octa-core Snapdragon 695 6nm chipset with Adreno 619 GPU for Graphics. It has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

This phone never disappoints on camera specs. It has a dual rear camera system with a 50MP main camera with OIS support and a 2MP macro lens. Even though we only get two cameras on the back, with OIS enabled, we can expect very decent photos from this phone. On the front, it has 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

It packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging and out of box it runs on Android 13 OS with OriginOS OS 3 UI.

Vivo Y78+ 5G will be available in three colours: Moon Shadow Black, Warm Sun Gold, and Sky Blue. It has three (3) variants: 8GB+128GB is priced at 1,599 Yuan ($232), 8GB+256GB for 1,799 Yuan ($261) and 12GB+256GB for 1,999 Yuan (~$290).
