PSTET Teachers Recruitment 2021 Online Apply: Punjab’s State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has announced the recruitment of the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2021. Eligibility for PSTET 2021
Qualification for Classes I-V:
- Senior Secondary with two (2) year D.El.Ed (or)
- Senior Secondary with four (4) Year B.El.Ed (or)
- Senior Secondary with two (2) Year D.Ed and passed in Punjab Eligibility Test (TET)
- Degree of BA/ B.Sc and 2 Year D.El.Ed or Degree of BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and one (1) Year B.Ed (or)
- Degree of BA/B.Sc with at least 45% marks and one (1) year B.Ed (or)
- Degree of BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and one 1 year B.Ed (Special Education) and pass in TET (or)
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and four (4) year B.El.Ed (or)
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and four 4 years BA/ B.Sc.Ed or BA.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed (or)

Punjab School Teachers Recruitment Process and Procedure:
- All questions in PSTET 2021 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only, with no essay questions. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers.
- Paper-I will be for teachers who wants to teach for class I to V. and Paper-II will be for teachers who want to teach for class VI to VIII. If who wishes to be a teacher in either, will be required to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Paper I (for classes I to V):
The total number of questions MCQs will be 150 with time duration of examination 1 hour and 30 minutes

Nature and standard of questions
- The test on Child Development and Pedagogy focused on the educational psychology of teaching and learning that is relevant to children between the ages of 6 and 11 years. and also on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners, and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning, among other subjects.
- The test on the Language section focuses on the abilities that are related to the medium of instruction (as chosen from a list of prescribed language options in the application form).
- The test on Mathematics and Environmental Studies focuses on concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of the subjects
- Paper-I will be drawn from the topics covered in the State’s prescribed syllabus for classes I–V, the difficulty level and linkages between the topics could be as high as the secondary level.
Paper-II for classes VI to VIII:
The total number of questions MCQs will be 150 with time duration of examination 1 hour and 30 minutes

- For Mathematics and Science teachers, the subject test will be in Mathematics and Science with 60 MCQs of 1 mark each.
- For Social studies teachers, the subject test will be in Social Studies with 60 MCQs of 1 mark each.
Qualifying marks
- A person who obtains a pass mark of 60 per cent or higher on the TET exam is considered to be a TET pass.
- In accordance with their existing reservation rules, marks pass percentage concessions were given to persons belonging to the SC/ST, OBC, and differently-abled persons.
