RedMagic has announced the global launch details and pricing for its highly anticipated flagship device, the RedMagic 8S Pro. Following its initial announcement in China earlier this month, the company has now unveiled the smartphone’s specifications and availability for the international market.
The RedMagic 8S Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 storage. While the Chinese version has up to 24GB of RAM.
Featuring a large 6.8-inch 120Hz BOE OLED screen, the RedMagic 8S Pro offers smooth visuals for an enhanced gaming experience. The device also boasts a pressure sensitive zones (520Hz touch-sensing), Built-in cooling fan, and 1300 nits brightness.
One of the standout features of the RedMagic 8S Pro is its ICE 12.0 magic cooling system. The smartphone’s thermal control system has been redesigned to incorporate a new duct structure, cooling gel, and an enhanced 2068mm³ super large vapor chamber (VC) cooling plate, which is double the thickness at 0.6/0.45mm and placed over the battery. These improvements further enhance the device’s cooling capabilities.
The smartphone also features a built-in independent gaming chip called “Red Core R2.” This chip enhances the shoulder keys, improves vibrations, defines game lighting effects, and enhances sound effects. It also supports Snapdragon Sound technology, delivering up to 96kHz output with an impressive 48ms low latency.
It has a 50MP main camera of 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor and a 16MP OmniVision under-screen camera for selfies. RedMagic 8S Pro packs with 6000mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging, achieves 0-100% charge in just 40 minutes.
