- MoHFW only extended the submission of records on day to day basis up to 30 June 2020, No exemption to the diagnostic centres from compliance to the provisions of the PC&PNDT Act
♦ The government launched a training module for management of COVID-19, i.e., Integrated Government Online training (iGOT) portal on DIKSHA platform of MHRD to enhance capacity building of front line workers to handle the pandemic efficiently
♦ Scientists SCTIMST an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology designed and developed a highly efficient superabsorbent material for liquid respiratory and other body fluid solidification and disinfection for the safe management of infected respiratory secretions
- Material titled Chitra Acrylosorb Secretion Solidification System developed by Dr Manju and Dr Manoj Komath
♦ Supreme Court ordered tests relating to COVID19 in government or private laboratories to be done for free of cost. Private labs were charging ₹ 4500 for COVID19 tests
♦ China lifted 76 days long lockdown in Wuhan epicentre of global pandemic COVID19
♦ Senator Bernie Sanders of Democratic party opted out from Presidential race against Trump in 3rd Nov 2020 US Presidental election. Joe Biden former Vice President the presumptive Democratic nominee to challenge President Donald Trump in November
