Narendra Modi Launched 6 Customized Crash Course Program for Covid-19 frontier workers

The 6 Customized Crash Course Program for Covid 19 frontier workers was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 18 June 2021 via Video Conferences. The training would take place in 111 training centres spread over 26 states. This project will teach around one lakh frontline employees.

Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as well as many other Union Ministers, State Ministers, experts, and other stakeholders, were present.

Narendra Modi stated that these six courses, which were introduced were designed by the country’s best experts in response to the needs of the states and union territories. Under this initiative, 1 lakh youth to be trained in 2-3 months.

Covid warriors will be trained in six specialised job roles:

  • Home Care Support
  • Basic Care Support
  • Advanced Care Support
  • Emergency Care Support
  • Sample Collection Support
  • Medical Equipment Support.

This will encompass both new skill development and upskilling of people who already have some experience in this field. This initiative will energise the frontlines of the health care system while also providing work possibilities for our young.

The Prime Minister stated that health professionals such as ASHA workers, ANMs, Anganwadi workers, and health workers deployed in rural dispensaries are one of the strong pillars of our health sector and are frequently left out of the discussion. They are vital in avoiding illness and supporting the world’s largest vaccination campaign.

The Prime Minister praised health personnel for their efforts in the face of adversity to ensure the safety of all citizens. He believes they play a critical role in limiting the spread of illness in communities in distant locations, as well as in hilly and tribal areas.
