Design and Display

The Motorola Razr 50 stays true to its roots with a design that will please both nostalgic fans and new users alike. The phone features a large 3.6-inch cover screen, similar to the one on the Razr 40 Ultra, elegantly curving around the dual cameras and LED flash on the back. This cover display isn’t just for show – it’s fully functional and perfect for quick notifications, selfies, and even some apps.

Open it up, and you’ll have a 6.9-inch foldable OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. This main display includes a small punch-hole cut out for the 32 MP selfie camera. The main cameras on the back include a 50 MP primary shooter and a 13 MP ultrawide lens.

Performance and Power

Under the hood, the Razr 50 is expected to feature up to 16 GB of RAM and Mediatek Dimensity 7300X chipset, a new contender in the midrange market. This is a shift from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 used in the Razr 40, but it’s rumored to deliver solid performance with its 2.5 GHz CPU.

Size and Feel

One of the standout features of the Razr 50 is its sleek and lightweight design. When unfolded, the phone measures 171.3 x 73.9 x 7.2 mm and weighs just 188 grams. This makes it easy to handle and carry around, which is crucial for a foldable device. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner ensures quick and secure access without adding bulk to the design.

Battery and Connectivity

While detailed battery specs haven’t been released yet, we can expect Motorola to equip the Razr 50 with a battery that’s sufficient for a full day’s use. Fast charging support is also likely, given the trend in current smartphones.

On the connectivity front, the Razr 50 will probably include all the essentials – 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.

Release and Availability

Motorola hasn’t officially announced the release date for the Razr 50, but with the TENAA certification in hand, it’s likely to hit the market in the coming weeks.
