Sushma Swaraj(1953-2019) was born to Hardev Sharma and Shrimati Laxmi Devi on 14 February 1953 at Ambala Cantt Haryana. She graduated in Sanskrit and Political Science and also studied law from Punjab University. At the age of 25 yrs, she became the youngest cabinet minister of the Haryana State. On 06 August 2019 Sushma Swaraj, Former External Affairs Minister passed away at 67 yrs with a massive heart attack

In 1977, She was the Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment in Haryana (1977-97). She is the youngest ever Cabinet Minister in the country at 25 years of age

In 1979, At the age of 27, she became State President of Janata Party in Haryana State 

In 1987, She was the Cabinet Minister of Education, Food and Civil Supplies in Haryana  (1987–90 )

In 1990, She was elected to Rajya Sabha for 1st time. (term: 1990–96)

In 2009, She was Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha form 3 June 2009 to 21 December 2009

In 2009, She became Leader of the Opposition by replacing Lal Krishna Advani from 21 Dec 2009 to 18 May 2014 

In 2014, She was Minister of External Affairs in the Union of India from 26 May 2014 – 29 May 2019
