Huawei has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 60 Pro+, at an online event on September 8, 2023. The device is a premium offering that boasts of a stunning OLED LTPO screen, a powerful Kirin 9000S chipset, a HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system, and a triple rear camera setup with a periscope telephoto lens.

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro Plus features a 6.82-inch OLED LTPO screen that supports a 1.5K resolution of 2720 x 1260 pixels, a 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, P3 color gamut, and second-generation Kunlun glass. The screen has curved edges and a pill-shaped cutout for the dual front camera. The device has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
The Mate 60 Pro+ is powered by the Kirin 9000S chipset, which is a 5nm octa-core processor with a Mali-G910 GPU. The chipset is capable of handling heavy tasks such as gaming, multitasking, and AI processing. The device comes with 16GB of RAM and three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It also supports NM (Nano Memory) cards up to 256GB.
The Mate 60 Pro+ has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture and OIS, a 48MP periscope telephoto camera with f/3.5 aperture and OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. The rear camera can capture stunning photos and videos in various modes such as night mode, portrait mode, macro mode, pro mode, and super zoom mode.
The rear camera can also record 8K videos at 30fps or 4K videos at 120fps with HDR10+ support. The device also has a dual front camera setup with a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a TOF 3D depth sensor for face recognition. The front camera can take selfies and make video calls in different modes such as beauty mode, panorama mode, slow-motion mode, and time-lapse mode.
The Mate 60 Pro Plus has a 5000mAh battery that supports 88W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 20W reverse wireless charging. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.0, which is Huawei’s own operating system based on microkernel architecture.
Price and Availability
The Huawei Mate 60 Pro Plus is expected to be priced at about 890 EUR (₹98,990 approx.) and is expected to be available from September 27 in the global market.
