Choosing Your Pokémon for the Raid

Heatran’s dual Fire- and Steel-type makes it susceptible to Water-, Fighting-, and Ground-type attacks. When assembling your team, prioritize Pokémon with Fast and Charged attacks of these types to maximize damage. Ground-type attacks are particularly effective due to Heatran’s double vulnerability.

Remember, the faster you defeat Heatran, the more Premier Balls you earn. So, bring your highest CP Pokémon with the best overall stats.

Boosting Your Attacks

When raiding in a party, Party Power can enhance your Charged Attacks. The more party members, the quicker your Party Power charges, and the more damage your next Charged Attack deals. Including a Mega-Evolved Pokémon in your lineup can also boost the damage of all Pokémon of the same type in the raid.

Recommended Pokémon

Here are some suggested Pokémon to consider for your lineup:

Ground-type Pokémon: Groudon, Garchomp, Excadrill, Therian Forme Landorus, Rhyperior, Mamoswine, Donphan, Golurk

Water-type Pokémon: Swampert, Kyogre

Fighting-type Pokémon: Blaziken, Terrakion

Catching Heatran

After defeating Heatran, you’ll have a limited number of Premier Balls to catch it. Aim for Excellent Throws when the target ring is small, and use Curveballs to improve your chances.

Berries can be a big help. Razz Berries make Heatran easier to catch, Golden Razz Berries even more so. If you’re struggling to land throws, a Nanab Berry can calm Heatran down. If you need extra Heatran Candy, use a Silver Pinap Berry.

Utilizing Heatran

Heatran’s resistances to 10 types of attacks, including double resistance to Grass, Ice, Poison, Bug, Steel, and Fairy, make it a formidable Fire-type attacker in Pokémon GO raids.

In the GO Battle League, Heatran’s high CP limits its use in the Great and Ultra Leagues. However, in the Master League, Heatran can shine, especially against popular Steel-type Pokémon like Metagross, Dialga, Excadrill, and Melmetal.

Remember, a well-trained Heatran with a strategic team can be a game-changer. Participate in as many Heatran raids as possible to gather the necessary Heatran Candy and Heatran Candy XL to power it up.
