Last week, Honor officially announced the Honor 200 Lite, a 5G phone with a 108MP camera and a Dimensity 6080 chipset. Now, to expand the Honor lineup, the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro are set to join the family soon.
The Honor 200 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. On the other hand, the Honor 200 Pro is expected to feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This marks a significant upgrade from the Honor 100 and 100 Pro models, which were powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively.
The 200 series is expected to introduce a completely redesigned camera setup. Their predecessors, the Honor 100 and 100 Pro, are known for their unique rear camera island.
Both the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro have reportedly been certified by the 3C authority in China with model numbers ELP-AN00 and ELI-AN00. While it’s still unclear which model number corresponds to the standard version and which to the Pro variant, both models are expected to support 100W fast charging.
A Global Launch?
While the Honor 200 Lite made its debut in Europe, but the launch details for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro remain a mystery. Initial reports suggest that these devices might be introduced in China first. However, given Honor’s global presence, it wouldn’t be surprising if these devices make their way to other markets soon after.
According to past rumors and leaks, the Honor 200 and 200 Pro are expected to feature a quad-curved OLED screen with a “1.5K” resolution. The Honor 200 Pro is also rumored to house dual selfie cameras within a pill-shaped screen cutout. This, coupled with the primary camera on the back rumored to come with variable aperture and OIS, and a telephoto lens, indicates that Honor is taking smartphone photography to the next level.
