Firstly WHO didn’t suggested or proposed any protocol, procedure or process for Lockdown. Depending on the severity of spreading Coronavirus, different countries adopting complete shutdown/ lockdown implementation and extension
Example: The USA as of 05 April 2020, with Covid19 positive cases of over 3 lakhs were not implementing complete shutdown/Lockdown. Many countries were also not imposing any strict lockdowns
Secondly, the message of the circulating virally in the name of WHO Protocol and Procedure in controlling COVID-19 is completely false
WHO didn’t laid any protocols for lockdowns for controlling the spreading of COVID-19 and claiming that this news is from Cambridge research is also false
To the fact, 2 scholars namely R Adhikari and Rajesh Singh from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge released a paper “Age-structured impact of social distancing on the COVID-19 epidemic in India” discussed about current situation in India and suggested their opinion with the mathematical modeling of infectious disease in Python of extension of lockdown
As of 05 April 2020, COVID-19 positive cases in India is only reached 3000+, which suggests India is in safe. In the coming days, the Indian government identifies Hot spots throughout the country and may restrict movement in that area or block if required.
There is no confirmed news from any govt officials regarding extension of lockdown, so don’t panic. Country runs on actual facts, not on WhatsApp news.
