Inside Out 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Inside Out, has finally hit the screens. The film continues to explore the complex world of emotions within the mind of Riley, the protagonist. However, what has caught the attention of many viewers are the post-credit scenes that the movie features.
There are two scenes you shouldn’t miss. So, don’t leave your seat when the credits start rolling if you’re watching Inside Out 2.
The first scene comes in the middle of the credits. Here, we see Riley returning from hockey camp. When her parents inquire about her experience, a debate breaks out among Riley’s emotions about the best response. Amidst their disagreement, Riley simply tells her parents, “it was good”, eliciting varied reactions.
We then switch to the emotions of Riley’s mom, who are disappointed that Riley only has three words to say about hockey camp. Anxiety makes an appearance at this point. On the other hand, Riley’s dad’s emotions decide to let it be if that’s all Riley has to say – they have a football game to watch.
The second scene, which comes after the credits, reveals that Anxiety also exists in Riley’s dad’s mind, hinting at possible future storylines. In this scene, we see Anxiety emerging from behind the control panel in Riley’s dad’s mind. Anxiety comments to the other emotions, “She’s gone for three days and all we get is ‘good’?”.
The other emotions consider this normal and go back to watching the game from a memory. This scene confirms that Riley’s dad also experiences the emotion of Anxiety.
