♦ Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram birth anniversary on 05 April 2020. He was popularly known as Babuji, an Indian independence activist, founder of the All India Depressed Classes League and founder of Congress (Jagjivan)

♦ Babu Jagjivan Ram hails from Bihar, he became the youngest minister in Jawaharlal Nehru’s provisional government and also Labour minister in first Indian Cabinet. He also served as Deputy Prime Minister of India from 24 January 1979 to 28 July 1979

♦ Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) issued an advisory to start rapid antibody-based blood tests in areas where COVID-19 positive cases were increased. By this test, the result will be known within 15 to 30 minutes. If the result of the blood test indicates high antibodies then the person will be screened further for swab test to confirm coronavirus

♦ Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison urged the World Health Organization, WHO and the United Nations to act against China’s wet markets, where the deadly coronavirus is thought to have originated
