KRAFTON, Inc. has announced the much-anticipated BGIS 2023, India’s biggest Battle Royale Esports tournament, set to be the country’s largest Esports event ever with a whopping ₹2 crore prize pool. It opens to all participants who play Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the tournament will kick off in September 2023, culminating with the Offline Grand Finals in October 2023.
With the staggering prize money, the event promises to be highly competitive and thrilling. To ensure inclusivity and accessibility, the Grand Finals will be broadcast in 10 languages, including English, Hindi, and 8 other regional languages, allowing gamers from all corners of the nation to participate and watch.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 Registration and Schedule
BGIS 2023 will be divided into two phases: the Online qualifiers and the Offline Grand Finals. The tournament starts with The Grind on July 20th, 256 teams competing for top 64 spots, advancing to Round 2 and Round 3. The qualified teams will then proceed to the main event. Fans can watch on KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS YouTube, daily at 12 pm IST from July 20th.
Registrations for the tournament (BGIS- Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023) took place from July 24th to August 2nd, with verifications scheduled from August 3rd to August 9th. The in-game qualifiers were held from August 10th to August 17th, where the top 2048 teams qualified for Round 1.
The Offline Grand Finals are set to take place from October 12th to 14th, providing the best teams with an opportunity to compete for ultimate glory and recognition.
The previous edition, BGIS 2021, was won by Skylightz Gaming, who emerged victorious over TSM in the grand finals. However, with both teams having undergone roster changes, anticipation for their performances in BGIS 2023 is high.
