- The webinar is a collaborative activity focused on the opportunities for mental wellness through the strengths of Ayurveda and Yoga
3) In News: Non-Urea fertilizers
- National Fertilizers Limited encouraging farmers to use non-urea fertilizers like DAP, MoP, NPK and Sulphur Based fertilizers
- Four major plant nutrients required for crops like Oilseeds, Pulses, Vegetables, Sugarcane, Paddy, Horticulture crops were Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potash, and Sulphur
- Deficiency of sulphur widely seen in Indian Soils, sulphur is replenished in soil mainly through Bentonite Sulphur and SSP (11% sulphur, 16% P2O5 and 21% Calcium)
4) 8th meeting of the India-UAE High-Level Joint Task Force on Investments hosted by India virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
- India-UAE High-Level Joint Task Force chaired by Piyush Goyal and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
- In 2012 Joint Task Force created to strengthen economic ties between the UAE and India, both countries singed Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement in January 2017
5) Government selected 15 states for Centrally Sponsored Pilot Scheme on Fortification of Rice and its distribution through Public Distribution System, allotted Rs.174.6 Crore for a period of 3 years from 2019-2020
- Earlier 5 states already started the distribution of fortified rice in their respective identified districts, states were Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh
- Fortification, it is the practice increase the content of an essential micronutrient deliberately to improve the nutritional quality of the food supply and provide a public health benefit with minimal risk to health
6) Union Minister of Science and Technology, Harsh Vardhan released the NCAER Report on “Estimating the economic benefits of Investment in Monsoon Mission and High-Performance Computing Facilities”
- National Monsoon Mission was initiated by the Ministry of Earth Sciences in 2012 with the objective to improve the monsoon forecasting skills in India

7) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs organized 13th Urban Mobility India day-long conference held on-line through Video Conference; with the objective to focus on innovative measures to address the challenges posed by pandemic at national and international level and provide accessible and convenient transport to the people
- The theme for the year (2020) is “Emerging Trends in Urban Mobility”
- The theme for the year (2019) is “Accessible and Liveable Cities” at Lucknow
8) Kerala government conferred prestigious J.C. Daniel Award for 2019 to Filmmaker Hariharan; J.C. Daniel is known as the father of Malayalam cinema
- J.C. Daniel Award is Kerala’s highest award in Malayalam cinema presented annually, awardees will get a citation and cash prize of ₹500,000

♦ Prominent Violinist TN Krishnan, recipient of the Padma Bhushan passed away at the age of 92 years due to illness
- Trippunithura Narayanaiyer Krishnan born in Tripunithura, Kerala in 1928, popularly known for his a Carnatic music violin and consider him as violin-trinity of Carnatic music along with Lalgudi Jayaraman and M. S. Gopalakrishnan
- He received many awards and honours, Padma Shri Award in 1973, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1974, Sangeetha Kalanidhi titular award in 1980, Padma Bhushan award in 1992, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship in 2006
